It is important that students, staff, and parents/guardians work in partnership for the overall success and well-being of all students. The responsibilities below are essential for a successful partnership and positive outcomes for all.
Student Responsibilities:
I understand that education is important and essential to succeed in life. I know that I am responsible for my success. I agree to demonstrate the following responsibilities:
- Arrive at school on time every day, unless I am truly ill
- Follow expectations regarding school citizenship and digital citizenship
- Seek out and develop positive friendships
- Act responsibly and be accountable for my behavior
- Be a cooperative learner and a positive teammate to others
- Complete assignments, projects, and homework on time
Parent/Guardian Responsibilities:
I/We understand that positive participation in our child’s education is essential to their overall well-being, positive attitude, and academic success. I/We agree to demonstrate the following responsibilities:
- Provide a routine and quiet place to develop study habits and complete work
- Establish independent and/or family reading time to develop self-discipline and an enjoyment for reading
- Limit technology device usage at home to minimize screen time
- Establish routine habits and daily structure including adequate nights’ sleep
- Ensure arrival to school on time, every day
- Attend school events such as Back to School Night, Conferences, and Open House
School Staff Responsibilities:
I understand the importance and lasting impact that a positive school experience provides to students. As an educator, I am a significant and influential role model to students, families, and colleagues. I agree to demonstrate the following responsibilities:
- Provide a safe and positive learning environment for all
- Understand every student brings a unique identity and strengths to the classroom
- Develop an understanding of the individual needs of each student
- Work collaboratively with students and families to ensure student success
- Utilize multiple learning modalities and check for understanding
- Reteach and offer additional support when necessary
- Establish regular and clear communication with families notifying student progress.
- Encourage and cultivate equal partnerships among staff, students, and families to achieve successful learning outcomes
