The Fountain Valley School District Board Room was filled with smiles, pride, and Tiger spirit on Thursday night during the Student Recognition portion of the meeting. This month, the spotlight shone on Tamura Elementary School as the district presented the coveted Lighthouse Leadership Awards to a select group of outstanding students.

The fourth-period bell last Friday brought an extraordinary, emotional surprise for Fulton Middle School PAL Advisor Mr. Rolando Vivar. District Executive Cabinet members, school administrators, and a very special guest gathered to catch Mr. Vivar completely off guard with some monumental news from the county.

It was an unforgettable Friday Flag assembly at Gisler Elementary School this past week. The entire school community got to witness a wonderful surprise when a representative from the Orange County Department of Education (OCDE) took the stage to honor the school’s Peer Assistance Leadership (PAL) program.

It was a standing-room-only celebration this week as the Fountain Valley School District honored the heart and soul of our schools: our certificated staff. The District Boardroom was transformed into a festive space with vibrant blue and white balloon structures, a hit photo booth, and an extensive candy bar that kept the energy high as we celebrated professional milestones and legacies.

The latest issue of School News Roll Call, a third-party magazine featuring highlights of our District schools and programs, is now available online in English and Vietnamese.
