Principal's Message

Welcome to Tamura School, proud Home of the Tigers!

It is a privilege and honor to serve as Tamura Elementary School's Principal. I am excited to meet the children and families coming to Tamura and I am so happy to be part of a school community with rich traditions and tremendous support. Tamura Elementary School is committed to providing a superior education for our students which includes a variety of teaching and learning approaches, the implementation of the latest instructional strategies, and a celebration of students' individual talents and interests. I am grateful for our opportunity to lead and shape the future, and I am proud to be called a Tamura Tiger.

The past year and a half have been so challenging with the pandemic, but I could not be prouder of our attitudes and accomplishments. Despite the stressors put on families, teachers, and students, we continued to see students make academic gains, mature, and develop perseverance.  Our technology skills and communication improved beyond imagination and we learned to be more creative, flexible and appreciative.

Tamura is a school with proven success. Together we will continue to build upon the positive school culture and advocate for the diversity and unique needs, talents, and gifts of each of our students.  Also, we will continue to academically roar and stretch the minds of our young Tigers in the pursuit of excellence in learning. It is going to be an amazing year of learning for every student at Tamura.

Due to the pandemic, some of our routines and procedures may be modified during the year.  As guidelines change, we will be flexible in adapting them and proactive in communicating this information to you.  As always, please contact me if you have questions and concerns. I will always do my best to assist you.

I am beyond thrilled that our students are all returning in person and can't wait to see the progress they make during the 2021-22 school year. Thank you for your part in this learning community. I'm looking forward to meeting you and welcoming back our returning Tigers, as well as our new Tigers.

Warmly,

Kathy Davis
