Welcome to the 2023-2024 School Year

My name is Amelia Terich and I am starting my 18th year of teaching in the FVSD. Previous to that I taught in a private school for 3 years. In addition to my classroom teaching experience, I have also held the position of Visual & Performing Arts Coordinator for 5 years working with all ten schools in FVSD. I have taught many grades, including Kindergarten, 3rd and 5th grade. This will be my fifth year at Tamura Elementary, after time at Moiola, Newland and Plavan, where I was honored as Teacher of the Year in 2012. I have 3 children: Micah(18), Mikaila(15), & Mason(12). My husband, Mike, is a teacher at Saddleback High School in Santa Ana. In addition, I have background and degrees in visual arts & graphic design and on the side I teach art lessons, private paint parties & painting classes. In my free time, I tutor students, and enjoy making memories with friends and family. I love vacationing, playing games, going to the movies and out to eat at restaurants, and planning and hosting parties.
