Welcome

I grew up with my parents and my younger sister in Rossmoor and attended Los Alamitos High School. I grew up singing, dancing, and performing. I attended college at Pepperdine University where I majored in Liberal Arts and earned my teaching credential. My sophomore year of college was spent living in London and traveling all over Europe. What an experience! I have been teaching in Fountain Valley since 2004. In 2007, I also earned my Masters in Teaching (with an emphasis in reading instruction) from National University. My husband and I have 2 daughters who also go to FVSD schools and a Goldendoodle named Maui. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, going for coffee, walking, and reading. This love of reading and learning is why I love teaching so much! I get excited every time I get to witness that “light bulb” turn on as my students begin to realize they can read everything around them. That is what makes my job the best one in the world!
